Frequently Asked Questions
While a full examination with the x-rays is ideal, we understand that some children are not comfortable standing still in a confined space and do offer a consultation-only option for younger children. Should it be found that the child requires any dental procedures, you may opt to have this done under sedation, done at our surgery, every Thursday.
A general examination is always a good starting point. At our surgery, we offer a comprehensive examination which includes 2 x-rays and a full-mouth assessment. The consultation thereafter will include a proposed treatment plan, specific to your needs. We recommend having one done every 6 months. This examination is covered by most medical aid schemes.
That depends on your medical aid provider and the treatment in question. Due to the many medical aid providers and options, as well as their scheme rules, we only know once we’ve contacted your medical aid provider and checked your available benefits. We do this a day before your appointment and contact you to inform you of any co-payments, prior to your visit.
We will do an assessment and consultation and after examining his/her teeth and jaw we will let you know if he/she needs them and if they will help.
